Cassandra A. Lee, M.D.

Dr. Cassandra A. Lee is Professor and Chief of the Sports Medicine Service in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California Davis Health System.

Dr. Lee currently serves as team physician for collegiate and professional teams including the University of California at Davis Aggies and the Sacramento Republic FC.

Dr. Lee is the current chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee for American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and has been a past member of AAOS Sports medicine/Arthroscopy program committee and program chair for the 50th Anniversary meeting ofAOSSM. She has also been a passionate educator working with the Perry Initiative, Nth Dimensions, test writing committees for sports medicine and AAOS, and serving on the Education committee and instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).  She has been active in graduate medical education and dedicated to improving diversity in the orthopaedic profession, having served as program director for UC Davis’ Orthopaedic surgery residency program for 7 years.

Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling the world but also exploring everything northern California has to offer – trails, beaches, mountains, forests, as well as perfecting her culinary and baking skills.
